Marigold Santos - artist's statement on The Tower cover art - "Figures draped in inky shrouds function not as garments of disguise to be hidden behind, but as reflections of lived experience in a selfhood that embraces fragmentation, multiplicity, plurality, and transformation. At times decomposing, cosmic or interstellar, dirty, or of blood and bile, the fluidity of the wash is worn with choice, and empowers through visibility. The work of Marigold Santos is informed by her own experiences of migration and diaspora, the folklore of the Philippines, the supernatural and otherworldly. "

Track Name: The Tower
In the fading of your light
Suffering is all divine
when the children of the night feed
a plague in the mind, in the mind

Shut the drapes and pull the blinds
Cut the wrist and drink the wine
Adoration at the crime scene
come into white

Find out what it means
Fall down to your knees

Pray for one is fiend for other
Stay your death another morn
Flee the dawn

Shadow roaming on a dream
all of time a-wandering
hunger burns and stomach screams
pleasure in vein

Find out what it means
Fall down to your knees

Prey for one is fiend for other
Stay your death another morn
Place your mind inside the hunger
Wait in shade to flee the dawn
